Search Instructions

This is a simple search script.  It searches the article text (using keywords you provide) and returns the titles of all articles that match your search conditions.

1. You can combine several keywords by listing them in the Search field.  Use a space to separate keywords.

Example: PI  staffing

2. Use the Operator field to combine more than one keyword.

Examples:

Search keywords: PI, staffing
Operator: AND
Returns: only articles containing both "PI" and "staffing" in the article text.

Search keywords: PI, staffing
Operator: OR
Returns: all articles containing "PI", or "staffing", or both keywords in the article text.

3.  Use the Case field to let the search script know whether you want the search to be case sensitive.

Examples:

Search keywords: PI
Case: Sensitive
Returns: all articles containing both "PI" (but not "pi") and "staffing" (but not "Staffing") in the text.

Search keywords: PI
Case: Insensitive
Returns: all articles containing "Pi", "pi", " *pI* ", " *PI* "  (just to name a few combinations) in the article text.  Words containing the letters "pi", such as "stupid", would result in a match when the search is case insensitive.

Tips

In general, select case insensitive to broaden your search, case sensitive to narrow down the search.  A few search terms that should always be case sensitive are: PI, MBI, SLIM

Avoid using titles of existing pages on the QSM web site, as they will return all articles.
